Postgraduate Admission Requirements To enrol on a UOWD postgraduate degree or postgraduate certificate you will need to meet the University's minimum academic and English language requirements. Academic Requirements Applicants for a postgraduate degree or postgraduate certificate must have completed a Bachelor degree (or equivalent) at an accredited institution of higher education and have achieved the minimum grades detailed below, as well as any specific course-related requirements. Students are allowed to enrol in a maximum of two subjects in their first semester and are required to achieve a weighted average mark of 55% in the first three subjects completed to continue on the program. In some cases your prior learning may be recognised by exempting you from completing specific subjects at UOWD on the basis of work you have already completed at another recognised institution or if you have a completed a Bachelor degree in a relevant area from an accredited institution. In the case of MBus, MQM and MSc(Log) programs, credit for prior learning may also be considered if you have a UOWD Graduate Certificate in Business. If you are seeking credit for prior learning, you will need to submit an official academic transcripts showing all courses studied and the grades obtained, syllabus details (including information on course content) for the courses you have successfully completed and an explanation of the grading system, or proof of your work experience or further training. Your eligibility for Credit for Prior Learning will be decided in consultation with UOWD's Faculty Offices prior to the beginning of the program. English Language Requirements All instruction at UOWD is carried out in English and you will need to demonstrate an adequate level of English language proficiency in order to enrol on a program at the University. Applicants without the appropriate level of English language proficiency will be required to take an English language course and successfully complete the IELTS or TOEFL test before being admitted to UOWD. 1. Attend UOWD (during business hours, between 8.30am and 6.00pm) with your offer letter on or before your first GFC class; 2. If your offer contains any conditions e,g. provision of certified documents or satisfying the English language requirements, these must be cleared prior to enrolment; 3. Pay your appropriate GFC fees (AED 2100 per subject) to the Cashier's office; 4. Bring your receipt and offer letter to the Registrar's department. Your student ID photo will be taken and you will be enrolled in your subjects according to your offer letter. Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to attend class.You are reminded that you will be required to have your student ID card with you when sitting exams. This is to be presented to the invigilator on the test day.To successfully complete a GFC subject, you must obtain a minimum of 50% in the final exam.
