Admission detail
All applicants must meet the following basic admission requirements: 1. The date of obtaining the secondary school diploma or its equivalent should not exceed three years at the time of application at the university, for all programs except the faculties of medicine and dentistry, where it is not required to have passed the date of obtaining the secondary school certificate or The equivalent of more than one year when applying at the university. 2. The student should not have been dismissed from the University of Sharjah or another university, community college or higher institute for disciplinary or academic reasons. 3. The applicant determines in the application of the colleges the order of priority according to his desire to join each. 4. Admission is distributed to the university faculties within the limits of the numbers to be admitted in each faculty according to the absorptive capacity of each program, according to the priorities of their desires and the sequence of their rates, and is accepted on a competitive basis. 5. The applicant must submit the application form to the Admission Department and complete all required documents on time and pay the application fee (AED 300 non-refundable). 6. The student fulfills the admission requirements in the required specialization, applying for admission, and obtaining the university number does not mean admission to the university, but the student is admitted to the final acceptance if the criteria for competition are met, and the payment of seat reservation fees (a first payment of tuition fees is calculated in In case of regular attendance, and non-refundable in case of withdrawal or non-enrollment in the university). 7. Applicants to the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry must pay (AED 1500) to enter the competition (non-refundable in case of rejection of the application or in case of withdrawal from the university) 8. Students will not be allowed to register courses or obtain university cards before completing the required documents. . Educational Qualification 1. The applicant must have a high school diploma after completing a study of at least 12 academic years before joining the university. 2. A student who has obtained a certificate from within the UAE must be a graduate of a school licensed and recognized by the Ministry of Education in the country. These documents are accredited by both the school where the student studied in the State, the Ministry of Education or the school district. 3. A student obtaining a certificate from another country must be graduated from a school licensed and recognized by the official educational authority in the country of study. He must provide a certified copy of the certificate of completion of secondary school with a detailed statement of the grades obtained in the study materials. These documents are accredited by the official educational authority in the country of study (eg Ministry of Education, Councils, British Council, etc.), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of study, UAE Embassy in the country of study, or Embassy of that country, Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates United. Holders of high school diplomas or its equivalent in its scientific and literary branches: Students with a high school diploma or its equivalent in its scientific and literary branches from a recognized school may apply to one of the colleges listed below, in accordance with the conditions and standards set by the university, and within the limits of its capacity. - Obtain a pass rate of not less than 70% (scientific or literary branch) to apply for college: 1. Holders of secondary school certificates from schools that follow the UAE Ministry of Education system or the Abu Dhabi Education Council: Students with a high school completion certificate from schools within the UAE that follow the Ministry of Education system or those that follow the Abu Dhabi Education Council are allowed to apply to the university at one of the appropriate colleges as shown in the attached table . Note: Meeting the above rate requirement does not mean acceptance into the program, but represents a minimum entry into the competition. The University may consider calculating some of the courses studied by the student in the International Baccalaureate (IB) at a rate of not less than (5) and no more than (12). The student should take an alternative course from the approved elective courses. To enroll in medical, dental or pharmacy schools : The student must have studied in the field of science chemistry, physics and biology distributed in the secondary school grades (grades 10, 11, 12) as follows: study biology twice, chemistry twice and physics at least once, and the student must obtain a score of at least B) in chemistry or biology high level in the certificate of the twelfth grade. For schools that follow the credit system , the student must study chemistry, biology and physics (Full credit hours)Spread at high school levels at least once. The student is required to obtain a grade of at least Grade B in Chemistry or Biology in Grade 12. B. British High School IGCSE, GCSE, GCE: The student must complete 12 years of study upon obtaining the high school diploma and bring what is officially stated. The student is awarded the top seven grades in the British Certificate as follows: 1. A minimum of five subjects in the normal level (O. Level) with a grade of not less than (C) and two subjects in the high level (AS Level) with a grade of not less than (D). 2. Or a minimum of six subjects in the normal level (O. Level) with a grade of not less than (C) and a material in the advanced level (A. Level) with a grade of not less than (E). 3. The above subjects must cover at least four areas of study: Science, Mathematics, Languages, Social and Humanities Studies, and Arts. To be considered a student branch (scientific) must have studied at least two subjects in the field of science, and at least in the field of mathematics distributed at the normal level (O. Level), high level (AS Level) or advanced level (A. Level). Required to join medical colleges (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy) in addition to the above: 1. The student must have successfully passed the chemistry and biology courses at the O. Level, AS Level or A. Level. 2. The chemistry and biology courses, or one of them shall be among the subjects (AS Level) with a grade of not less than (B) or (A. Level) with a grade of not less than (C). The University may consider calculating some of the courses that the student studied in the advanced level certificate (A. Level) at a rate of not less than (C) and no more than (12), and the student must take an alternative course from the elective courses approved. C. Students holding the International Baccalaureate ( the IB ): At least 12 years of school must be completed upon obtaining a high school diploma. The student should have an IB diploma. The certificate should be approved by the Ministry of Education. Successful completion of (6) subjects at least at the completion of secondary school, distributed over (4) areas of study: mathematics, science, social and human studies, languages. The student must pass at least three high-level subjects (HL) . A student must have a minimum of 24 points out of 45. The student's average is determined. The certificate branch (literary or scientific) is determined by the subjects studied by the student in the International Baccalaureate (IB). For admission to the faculties of medicine or dentistry or pharmacy : The student must have studied the subjects of chemistry and biology, and the student must obtain an average of at least estimate (5) in chemistry or biology in the International Baccalaureate (IB) at a higher level . The University may consider calculating some of the courses studied by the student in the International Baccalaureate (IB) at a rate of not less than (5) and no more than (12) hours. Admission requirements for the faculties of medicine and dentistry In addition to meeting the general requirements for admission to the university, the following conditions are required for admission to the faculties of medicine and dentistry: 1. Entry criteria for competition in the faculties of medicine and dentistry Students are admitted to the faculties of medicine and dentistry on a competitive basis, according to regulations and standards set by the university administration. Entry to the competition is required to pay an amount of AED 1500, and this amount is not refundable in any case (student admission, non-admission, withdrawal, or non-enrollment ...) and is considered a down payment of tuition fees in case of admission . 2. Confirmation of admission to the faculties of medicine and dentistry: The admitted student must pay the remaining tuition fees in the semester he accepted within a maximum period of one week from the announcement of the names of the admitted students, and start the study in the semester accepted. Subject to the above, the admission of the student shall be canceled if he does not complete the registration procedures in the semester he was accepted. He shall not be entitled to refund the fees paid. 3. The minimum requirements for promotion from the foundation year to the first year in MBBS, and MBBS are: Successful completion of the foundation year. A grade point average of 2.5 and above is 4. Achieving an average of 2.5 and above in the chemistry and biology courses and their laboratories. Those who obtain the above rates are subject to competition in the light of the vacant seats in the faculties, which are determined annually in the light of the absorptive capacity of each faculty. Admission requirements of the College of Business Administration All students enrolled in the College of Business Administration are admitted to the General Management Program. The student can determine the desired specialization after completing the study of 36 credit hours (of which 18 hours are compulsory college requirements), and after fulfilling the requirements of each department. Language of study Arabic is the language of instruction at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Communication, and the Law Program at the Community College. English is the language of instruction in the following faculties: science, engineering, health sciences, business administration, fine arts and design, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, community college (except law program), English language and literature programs, and international relations The history of art and the study of museums in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences, and the course of mass communication in the Faculty of Communication. Important Notes 1. The student shall complete the application form himself / herself and shall be responsible for the correctness of the data recorded therein. 2. The student is responsible for completing all the procedures required by the admission phases on time according to the instructions and academic calendar. The seat reservation fees are non-refundable in case of withdrawal or non-enrollment. 4. Admission is only available for the semester in which the student has applied for admission. 5. The student is allowed to postpone his study for a maximum of one semester, in all programs except the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, where the postponement of admission for a full year, and the student must pay the fees for the application of the postponement and then handed over to the Department of Admission before the start of study. 6. Paragraph (5) applies to all faculties except the faculties of medicine and dentistry. 7. The university does not accept the receipt of the original high school diploma from the students, but the receipt of duly certified copies from the competent authorities. 8. All documents submitted for admission are the property of the University, and students are not entitled to claim any document from their profile after being handed over to the competent employee. 9. The University is not responsible for applications for scholarships. 10. Applications will not be considered after the expiry of the admission period. 11.
