The programme has been developed to meet the growing needs of professionals in the UAE who have already achieved their Masters degree and now wish to pursue higher ambitions and achieve the highest academic qualification while continuing to live and work in the UAE.
The demand for academics in CS and related areas is growing as the number of higher education programmes in these areas continues to grow. More generally, there is an international and regional need for advanced CS capacity.
The programme qualifies the PhD holders to work in academic institutions as professors, and work in the industry as consultants. Full time students can finish the programme in 3 years while dedicated part-time students can finish in 4 years.
