Mohammed V Abu Dhabi University was established on the basis of the decree of January 23, 2013 issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The purpose of Mohammed V Abu Dhabi University is to offer programs covering Islamic studies, social sciences and humanities, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
Mohammed V Abu Dhabi University is one of the country’s higher education institutions. The University was established to be another edifice of the United Arab Emirates, where it uses the latest scientific and technological means to implement the vision, ambitions and goals of the State. Admission detail
Success in Masters or equivalent with Very Good and above. The master's degree must be issued by a recognized university. Must have a master's degree in Islamic sciences or its equivalent (Fundamentals of Religion, Quran and its Sciences, Sunnah and its Sciences, Biography of the Prophet, Fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Jurisprudence). Pass a written exam. Pass a personal interview with the Scientific Committee. The master's research in a subject qualifies him for admission. This admission is conditional on the successful completion of the first semester of four months. The student shall be dismissed from the university if his cumulative GPA is below 60% at the end of the first semester of the academic year. The student is referred to the Academic Coordination Committee to decide his academic status, if his average is below (70%) and higher than (60%) at the end of the first semester of the academic year. The Admission Committee may stipulate for the admission of a PhD student a number of remedial courses (not more than 12 credit hours) taught in the first academic year. The study of these remedial courses is not calculated within the GPA
