The Higher College of Technology Sharjah Women’s Campus (SJW) is one of the two HCT colleges based in the city of Sharjah and one of seventeen colleges throughout the United Arab Emirates that comprise the Higher Colleges of Technology. The HCT Sharjah Campuses serve the post-secondary educational needs of Sharjah and the two neighboring emirates of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. The colleges offer a variety of programmes that integrate both academic and practical experience, based on an experiential learning, or hands-on, educational philosophy, to ensure that students have a successful and rewarding career path. SJW was established in 1997 and is located in Sharjah’s University City.

Admission Requirements Admission to all HCT courses is subject to the following criteria : General Admission Requirements Enjoy students who satisfy the following requirements are eligible to apply for admission to the Higher Colleges of Technology, according to acceptance and systems for the programs of study at the Higher Colleges of Technology Policy : Getting a high school diploma at least 60% or its equivalent in any of its tracks. Take the Emirates Standard Test - EmSAT - in English or equivalent. Criteria for enrollment in study programs Accelerated Track: Applied Bachelor programs (allows bachelor's degree in a shorter period of time) Graduates of the Ministry of Education in the path of the elite or equivalent . Graduates of the Ministry of Education in the Advanced Pathway or its equivalent, according to the following criteria : The access to secondary general rate of 90% minimum. Obtain a minimum score of 1250 on the EmSAT English test or equivalent . Second: Applied Track: Diploma / Higher Diploma / Applied Bachelor Programs A- Graduates of the Ministry of Education in the advanced course or its equivalent, according to the following criteria : A minimum secondary rate of 60% for all programs except engineering technology. A minimum of 70% general secondary enrollment in engineering technology programs. A minimum score of 650 on the EmSAT English test or equivalent . ( B ) Graduates of the Ministry of Education in the track or equivalent, according to the following criteria : A minimum of 70% general secondary school enrollment, excluding engineering technology. To enroll in engineering technology programs: A minimum of 80% general secondary rate. Get a score of 800 on the EmSAT Math test as a minimum. To get a score of 750 on the EmSAT physics test as a minimum or get a score of 600 on the EmSAT chemistry test as a minimum. A minimum score of 650 on the EmSAT English test or equivalent . C - Graduates of the Ministry of Education in the general track and advanced or equivalent with a score less than 650 in the test EmSAT English language and a general secondary rate of 85% and above.
