ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020 General admission requirements (For all curricula) Higher Secondary Certificate in Science subjects and must be of the same year or a year before, and duly attested by the competent authority. The applicant must complete 12 years of education in school. Equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education for the grade 12 passed (as equivalent to the higher secondary certificate of the Ministry of Education UAE). Standardized English Examination (EmSAT with score more than 1100 or TOEFL with score of more 500 (173 CBT, 61 iBT) or IELTS of more than 5). (Institutional TOEFL is NOT ACCEPTABLE) Passing the Entrance Exam (Biology and Chemistry) and the interview. Priority shall be given to UAE nationals, then to those belonging to GCC nationalities, then to other resident candidates. British IGCSE: A minimum grade of B in 5 O-Level subjects, and minimum grade of B in 3 AS-Level subjects or A minimum grade of B in 5 O-Level subjects and a minimum grade of B in 2 A-Level subject. The courses should cover at least four areas of study: Mathematics, Languages (English), Social Studies, Fine Arts & Design, and in Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) are required. Biology & either (Chemistry Physics Math) at the AS level/A level is required. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. American Diploma: Higher School Certificate in Science subjects with a minimum average of 85 %. Attested copy from local relevant authority is required. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. SAT 1 with minimum score 400 in Math. If Biology is not taken in 12th Grade, a SAT II score of 550 in Biology is required. International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 29 is required. The student must have studied 6 courses in the fields of Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, and Languages with English as the language of instruction. Student must have studied 3 subjects in the higher level including Biology and Chemistry. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. SAT 1 with minimum score 400 in Math If Biology is not taken in 12th Grade, a SAT II score of 550 in Biology is required. Indian Board Certificate: CBSE: Higher School Certificate with a Minimum average of 75%. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. State Board: Higher School Certificate with a Minimum average of 80%. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. Pakistani Federal Board: Minimum average of 70% in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination. Result of Arabic & Islamic (Ministry exam) for grade 10, 11 and 12. Secondary School Qualifications Obtained Outside UAE: Should be a graduate of a school recognized by the official education authority in the country of study. Must meet the requirements for admission into university in the country of origin. Certificates submitted must be authenticated by the: Education Authority (Home Country) Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Home Country). Embassy of the United Arab Emirates or the Embassy of the Country in the UAE. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Admission Procedure All candidates can apply for our program by filling up an online application form. Admission process starts on 19th of May 2019 and closes by 10th July 2019. Applications are to be submitted on the prescribed form accompanied by the following documents: Statement of marks for Higher Secondary Certificate (an attested copy should be submitted). Equivalence Certificate. EmSAT/TOEFL/ IELTS Score Report. Character Certificate/Good Conduct Certificate. Six personal photographs. Copy of Passport Copy of Emirates ID card. Copy of Birth Certificate. Medical Fitness Certificate. Payment of the registration fee: 200/- will be required Applicants should pass an entrance exam in the following subjects: Chemistry and Biology, and also a personal interview. Final selection of candidates will be on the basis of their higher secondary school scores, entrance exam scores and interview scores.
