The MA Education (SEND Pathway) pathway is part of Middlesex University Dubai’s strategy to further develop its provision of programmes from the School of Health and Education. The successful introduction in 2014-15 of the MA Education (Leadership & Management) and MA Education (Teaching and Learning) focused on providing a pathway for teachers with an interest in developing their management and leadership skills. This new pathway module within the MA Education aims to provide students with a systematic understanding and critical awareness of models and frameworks of coaching and mentoring. This pathway will provide students with the experience of coaching in the workplace, including a range of theories related to emotional intelligence, psychology and personal and organisational change and development. There will be a focus on educational contexts. The module seeks to engage students in critical discussion and application of opportunities for coaching and mentoring within a range of educational settings.

Middlesex University Dubai is pleased to offer higher education professionals the opportunity to gain an internationally recognised teaching qualification via its Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). Increasingly universities are requiring their teaching staff to have formal teaching qualifications in addition to their academic qualifications. The Middlesex PGCHE is a UK teaching qualification specifically designed for those working in higher education. The UK Higher Education Authority (HEA) Professional Standards Framework (PSF) has been embedded into the programme design, and those who complete the programme are able to become Fellows of the HEA.

This new MA Higher Education programme is intended to attract those interested in the study of Higher Education as its own field of study. The programme is designed to include an innovative range of modules which offer a wide exposure to the studies of higher education and reflect the changing landscape of Higher Education. It is based upon four onto-epistemological pillars of; philosophy, psychology, policy and pedagogical practice and their impact on institutional, national and global arenas. This flexible and accessible course is aimed at academics and those supporting learning in higher education. The course explores the literature and best practice in teaching, learning and assessment together, to help students critique and apply generic and subject specific pedagogies and carry out related research across a broad range of disciplines and roles.

MA Education (Teaching and Learning)
Middlesex University Dubai offers you the opportunity to undertake a part-time, postgraduate degree directly related to your work in the educational field. The programmes individual design is aimed at helping you achieve change in an educational field of your choosing, whether you are teacher, an administrator, or indeed anyone with a professional interest in education. BSc Honours Psychology with Marketing
The Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Psychology with Marketing combines a broad education in psychology with a specialist strand to develop an understanding of the theory and practice of marketing (including consumer behaviour). Candidates have the opportunity to study psychology as a subject combined with another discipline. This can lead to careers in diverse occupations that do not carry the title psychologist’ because the skills acquired while studying psychology transfer readily to various spheres in the world of work and provide an excellent general education. The skills that students will learn while studying psychology include: information finding, oral and written communication, numeracy, computer literacy, time-management, problem solving, group working and the ability to carry out independent research.
