The Architecture program at Al Ghurair University is focused on the studio experience and has been carefully constructed to develop student skills in freehand and digital drawing, design theory and methodologies. Above all, it realizes each student’s ability to produce a major, complex and satisfying architectural design that can be showcased to professionals and the public at the completion of 160 credits taken over 5 years of study.
Consequently a balanced curriculum featuring courses within the categories of General Education, Specialization, Studio and Professional Studies builds a solid knowledge base complemented by acquiring the critical skills needed to enter the profession of Architecture.
The program is devised to encourage students’ special interests in subject areas ranging from structural and environmental design, to architectural history and theory, urban design, and project management. This in turn helps students develop their ideas in terms of career track, post-graduate study and professional development.
